About Me:
My name is Katherine Miller, and I am currently a freshman at the University of Missouri in Columbia. I plan to major in newspaper journalism with an emphasis in online journalism. I am particularly interested in reporting. However, some of my other interests include copy editing and newspaper design. I currently live in a suburb of Chicago not during the school year. I hope to use this website to showcase my skills and experience to potential employers. I hope to find an internship for this summer, preferably in the Chicagoland, St. Louis, or Columbia, MO area.
Questions/job possibilities can be directed to my e-mail address at KLM4RD@mizzou.edu.
Objective
My objective is to eventually work as an investigative journalist for a newspaper or news-based magazine, helping to provide valuable information to the public. My goal is to inform the public on important issues in the world, exposing injustice and allowing the public to make better, informed decisions. I am seeking to give a voice to members of society who would not otherwise have their voice heard. I have a wide variety of interests and would like to eventually write about a variety of subjects, including politics, international news, crime and feature stories. I would love to travel with my job, and plan to study abroad in Brussels my junior year of college. I have a true passion for news and am not afraid report in a changing industry. I have a curiosity about the world and I want to be its storyteller.
